Esta mañana se dieron a conocer las nominacions a los Premios Oscars 2022. Tras un año donde los cines y festivales volvieron a abrir sus puertas, The Power of the Dog de Jane Campion se convirtió en la película con más opciones de galardones con 12. La producción de Netflix busca ser el primer film de la plataforma roja en ganar la estatuilla a mejor película. Mientras que la directora ya entro en la historia de los premios siendo la primera mujer en ser nominada dos veces a la mejor dirección. La primera vez fue en 1993 donde la neolandeza, a pesar de no ganar el Oscar a mejor dirección, se llevó a casa el mejor guion original.
Dune, por su parte, se llevó 10 nominaciones incluyendo mejor película y mejor fotografía, pero quedó fuero en dirección y actuación. West Side Story y Belfast obtuvieron siete nominaciones, mientras que King Richard fue nominado en seis categorías. Las películas mencionadas anteriormente más CODA, Don’t Look Up, Drive My Car, Licorice Pizza y Nightmare Alley completan la ansiada lista a mejor película.
Este año la organización de los Oscars aún no han definido si contará con algún host determinado o con multiples como lo ha decidido hacer en las últimas tres entregas. Lo único cierto hasta el momento es que se celebrarán el domingo 27 de marzo.
