Emma Thompson
Biografía
Dame Emma Thompson (nacida el 15 de abril de 1959) es una actriz y guionista británica. Considerada una de las mejores actrices de su generación, ha recibido numerosos elogios a lo largo de su carrera que abarca más de cuatro décadas, incluidos dos Premios de la Academia, tres Premios BAFTA, dos Premios Globo de Oro y un Premio Primetime Emmy. En 2018, la reina Isabel II la nombró Dama (DBE) por sus servicios al teatro. Nacida de los actores Eric Thompson y Phyllida Law, Thompson se educó en Newnham College, Cambridge, donde se convirtió en miembro de la compañía Footlights y apareció en la serie de sketches de comedia Alfresco (1983-1984). En 1985, protagonizó la reposición del musical Me and My Girl en el West End, que supuso un gran avance en su carrera.
