James Stewart
Biografía
James Maitland Stewart (20 de mayo de 1908 – 2 de julio de 1997), popularmente conocido como Jimmy Stewart especialmente en Estados Unidos, fue un actor de cine, teatro y televisión estadounidense ganador del Premio Óscar, famoso por su particular personalidad en la pantalla. Durante el transcurso de su carrera actuó en varias películas consideradas clásicos y fue nominado cinco veces al Premio Óscar, ganando una vez en competencia y recibiendo uno por su trayectoria. También tuvo una notable carrera militar alcanzando el grado de Brigadier General en la Fuerza aérea de los Estados Unidos. Nació en Indiana, Pensilvania cerca de Pittsburgh, inicialmente siguió la carrera de arquitectura antes de sentirse atraído por el teatro en la Universidad de Princeton. Sus primeros éxitos vinieron como actor en el teatro de Broadway, antes de realizar su debut en Hollywood en 1935. La carrera de Stewart llegó a tener gran reconocimiento después de sus bien recibidas películas del director Frank Capra, incluyendo su rol que lo nominó al Premio de la Academia en Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.
