Keenan Ivory Wayans es un actor, director, guionista y productor neoyorquino, hermano de los intérpretes Damon, Marlon, Kim y Shawn, e hijo de Elvira, trabajadora social, y Howell Wayans, responsable de un supermercado. Comedia (en especial las parodias con contenido sexual) y acción dentro de intrigas de tipo criminal son los principales géneros abordados por Wayans, quien se dedicó al mundo del humor tras pasar durante unos años por la Tuskegee University.
