Simon Callow
Biografía
Actor, autor y director inglés nacido en Londres. Delicioso actor de carácter que llamó la atención en 1979 actuando en el rol de Mozart inmaduro en la producción teatral Amadeus, de Peter Shaffer y apareció como el empresario de ópera Emanuel Schikaneder en la versión fílmica de Milos Forman, Amadeus (1984). Posteriormente dio vida a una gran cantidad de personajes, en su mayoría cómicos, principalmente en películas basadas en novelas de E. M. Forster, Una habitación con vistas (1985) como un reverendo y Maurice (1987) como un director de escuela. Ya establecido como director de teatro, televisión y ópera, dirigió su primer film para el equipo Merchant-Ivory, La balada del Sad Café (1991). También es autor de varios libros, como Siendo un actor (1984) y Charles Laughton: Un actor difícil (1988).
