Pao is a terrible lawyer who has never won a litigation. He is a righteous man but his unstable character brings him under disciplinary investigation, during which he meets a beautiful doctor, Cheng. However, since Cheng is often called upon as an opposing witness in Pao's court cases, conflict and misunderstanding grow between the two.
