Biografía
Melanie Griffith Hedren (Nueva York, 9 de agosto de 1957) es una actriz de cine estadounidense ganadora del Globo de Oro. Es hija de la actriz y modelo Tippi Hedren y el publicista Peter Griffith. A lo largo de una carrera de casi cuatro décadas ha trabajado con varios de los más grandes actores de Hollywood, como Paul Newman, Tom Hanks, Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee Jones, Michael Douglas, Jeremy Irons, Ed Harris, Nick Nolte, Antonio Banderas, Bruce Willis, entre otros. Tras trabajar como modelo y tras la interpretación de un buen número de papeles como actriz de reparto (como en La noche se mueve de Arthur Penn, 1975), obtuvo su primer éxito con Doble cuerpo (Brian De Palma, 1985). Entre sus títulos posteriores cabe citar Algo salvaje (Jonathan Demme, 1988), Lunes tormentoso (Mike Figgis, 1988), Armas de mujer (Mike Nichols, 1988), De repente, un extraño (John Schlesinger, 1990), La hoguera de las vanidades (Brian de Palma, 1990), Una extraña entre nosotros (Sidney Lumet, 1992), Ni un pelo de tonto (Robert Benton, 1994), Two Much (Fernando Trueba, 1995), Lolita (Adrian Lyne, 1997), Celebrity (Woody Allen, 1998), Locos en Alabama (Antonio Banderas, 1999) y Cecil B. Demented (John Waters, 2000). En el ámbito teatral, destaca su debut en Broadway en 2003 con el musical Chicago, donde interpretó el papel de "Roxie Hart". Su trabajo recibió excelentes críticas y la obra fue un éxito de taquilla. Está separada de Antonio Banderas con quien tiene una hija, Stella del Carmen. Nacida el 24 de septiembre de 1996 en Marbella, España. Antes, estuvo casada con Don Johnson (2 veces), con quien tiene una hija, Dakota, y también con Steven Bauer, con quien tiene un hijo, Alexander.
